Taking to social media, she asked: “Do you want to make a thousand pounds plus per month on ?

“Now I say a thousand pounds because that’s actually a really easy number to get to. But you need to decide how you’re doing it.”

Laura said there was more to it than just making sure your photos are well lit and descriptions are clear.

Instead, she said if you were serious about making extra cash, you need to decide what kind of reseller you want to be.

For Laura, she said most resellers fall under two categories, those who sell high volume for cheap and those looking for higher-priced items.

She explained that the difference is that the first option means you spend hours a day updating your profile and uploading new items.

This means you’ll be selling items from the likes of or supermarkets for £2 a piece.

She explained: “If that’s your strategy, you need to think about how much you need to be uploading a day to get to that thousand pounds a month, right? Let that digest.

“Or are you going to be the person that potentially spends a little bit more on stock or on items that you can then flip for a bigger profit so you have to sell less?”

She said for those wanting to make £1,000 a month without putting in as much time you need to focus on higher-end labels.

This can be or Nobody’s Child, where people are prepared to spend more.

The video went viral on her TikTok account @ lauraresells with over 9,000 views.

Many took to the comments to share their thoughts and thank Laura for her advice.

One person wrote: “I started with high street but now I’m moving into Y2K and jeans, slower sells but seems to be higher profit.”

Top tips on selling on Vinted, including how to ‘bump’ items for free

VINTED whizz Rose Claire took to YouTube to share her top tips for making sales on the site.

Here are the reseller’s for raking in sales…

Bumping Items For Free

To bump items to the top of the search results on Vinted you have to pay a fee.

However, Rose revealed that there is a simple way to get around this.

She explained that if an item hasn’t sold you can simply delete the listing and then re-upload it again.

As Vinted shows items in the list that they are uploaded, the re-uploaded items will appear at the top of the search feed.

White Background

Rose revealed that when taking pictures of items, you should always make sure to use a white or plain background.

“Don’t use anything colourful or that’s hard to digest visually”, she said.

She also makes sure that there are absolutely no creases or ruffles in her clothes and takes pictures in bright lighting to show off the items as best she can.

“I think the more pictures the better”, she added.

Accurate Description

To get the most accurate description of the items, Rose tries to find the original listing of the products on the websites she bought them from.

This way, she can use as many keywords as possible in the description.

“I recommend saying everything you can in the description”, she said.

“Just fill it out.”

Another commented: “Great video as always.”

“Thank you! You’re a star,” penned a third.

Meanwhile a fourth said: “I simply don’t want to deal with buyers who buy stuff for 1-5£. From what I hear they are a pain.”
