A MAJOR player in Tyson Fury’s showdown with Anthony Joshua admits things aren’t progressing as planned.

Broadcasters Netflix and Saudi supremo Turki Alalshikh have earmarked Madison Square Garden for the pair’s past-sell-by-date punch-up.

But and his team are pushing back on the MSG melee as his contract for the domestic dust-up states it MUST take place in the UK.

SunSport understands that reports this week suggesting both men have inked deals for a November 20 clash are premature.

And Fury’s manager, Spencer Brown, has admitted the finalisation of the fight has ground to a frustrating halt.

He told Sky Sports : “Everybody’s got a bit of doubt in their mind.

“There’s reasons you could think that. If you’d asked me a week ago, I’d have said no.

“But now it’s a little bit concerning that things haven’t progressed down the line.

“We need to get this fight on.”

and Joshua, 38 and 36 respectively, have been on a collision course for well over a decade.

And Brown fears the latest hurdle in their grudge match could put the public off the fight once and for all.

He continued: “You can’t keep flogging a dead horse, can you?

“We’ve been flogging a dead horse for months now.

“We’ve waited and waited to do it at Wembley. The hope is fading that it’s going to be at Wembley.

“A decision must be made. Let’s get the fight on wherever it is, whether it’s in Timbuktu or whether it’s in Wembley Stadium.

But AJ promoter insists: “There’s absolutely nothing imminent at all regarding an announcement.

“Unless there’s an announcement without our approval which would not be a good idea.”
