THE alleged gunman who attempted to kill Donald Trump at a White House dinner fancied himself as “Rambo,” a top US prosecutor has said.

Jeanine Pirro said there was no doubt that the suspect, Cole Allen, 31, was behind last month’s shooting at the Hilton.

The US Attorney for the District of Columbia accused the teacher of being armed “to the teeth” in a chilling bid to assassinate the president.

Authorities say Allen – the son of a church leader – was heavily armed with a shotgun, handgun and knives when he breached a security perimeter one floor above the ballroom.

Pirro also insisted it was not a friendly fire that left a Secret Service agent wounded.

Instead, she said, the “brilliant Caltech grad” turned gunman opened fire himself as he stormed the venue on April 25, where Trump, senior officials and hundreds of journalists had gathered.

“Clearly, the president is a target. And make no mistake, it is not just the manifesto. It is his actions,” Pirro told CNN’s “State of the Union.”

The suspect had allegedly penned a hate-filled manifesto outlining his violent plans, referring to himself as the “Friendly Federal Assassin.”

“I mean, this guy thought he was Rambo,” Pirro said.

“And he takes a picture of himself. He is smug, he is proud, and he is focused on what he’s doing,” she added, pointing to selfies Allen reportedly took in his hotel room before launching the attack.

In the manifesto, first revealed by The Post, Allen allegedly listed “Administration officials (not including [FBI chief] Mr. [Kash] Patel): they are targets, prioritized from highest-ranking to lowest.”

While Trump was not named directly, one line read: “And I am no longer willing to permit a pedophile, rapist, and traitor to coat my hands with his crimes.”

Pirro declined to confirm whether that was aimed at the president.

“You’re going to have to ask him that. I don’t really care,” she said.

But she insisted the broader evidence paints a clear picture.

“I think if you read the manifesto … it is very clear who the intended target is. It is very clear, based upon the fact that as soon as this president said that he was going to be at the Hilton for the White House Correspondents’ Dinner on March 2nd, [Allen] then made the decision to hatch the plan,” Pirro said.

“I can tell you, we will be able to prove that beyond a reasonable doubt,” she added.

“The one issue that people might think about is, is he insane. He is far from insane. He is brilliant. He has a master’s degree. He work[ed] at a Jet Propulsion Laboratory.”

Questions had swirled in the aftermath over , who was struck in his vest and suffered minor injuries.

Early speculation suggested friendly fire but Pirro shut down those claims.

When asked if investigators had determined who fired the shot, she said: “We have.”

“There’s video of the defendant shooting at the Secret Service agent. We now can establish that a pellet that came from the buckshot from the defendant’s Mossberg pump-action shotgun was intertwined with the vest of the Secret Service officer.

“It is definitively his bullet,” she said.

Allen now faces a string of federal charges, including attempting to assassinate the president of the , discharging a firearm during a of violence, and transporting a firearm and ammunition in interstate commerce with intent to commit a felony.

He was arraigned last week but did not enter a plea.

Pirro herself was inside the Washington Hilton when the gunfire erupted.
