Troops of the Nigerian Army have dealt a major blow to terrorists and criminal networks across several states, seizing arms, explosives, and large consignments of drugs while rescuing kidnapped victims.
In the North East, troops clashed with ISWAP and JAS fighters in Borno, capturing rocket-propelled grenades, bombs, AK-47 rifles, ammunition, and other military equipment. Operations also disrupted terrorist logistics, prevented attacks on communities, and intercepted bomb-making materials.
In the North West and North Central, troops arrested several suspects, seized vehicles, firearms, motorcycles, and other illicit items, and thwarted attacks in Sokoto, Katsina, Kebbi, and Kaduna states. Multiple kidnapped victims were rescued during these operations.
In the South South, troops conducted raids in Rivers and Cross River states, dismantling illegal oil bunkering sites, arresting cultists, and recovering firearms and drug paraphernalia. Joint operations with the Cameroonian Army along the Bakassi waterways also led to the rescue of kidnapped passengers.
Overall, the Nigerian Army neutralized dozens of terrorists, kidnappers, and cultists, arrested more than 20 suspects, and recovered large caches of arms, ammunition, and illicit materials, reinforcing national security across the regions.
