Troops from Operation Hadin Kai successfully thwarted an attack by suspected Boko Haram militants on a border community in Adamawa State.
This information was shared in a post on X on Saturday by security analyst, Zagazola Makama.

According to Makama, the event occurred on Friday night in the village of Mayo Ladde, situated in the Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa.

Makama reported that the terrorists attempted to infiltrate the community around 9:00 p.m. but encountered strong resistance from the security forces.

“Troops of Operation Hadin Kai, in collaboration with other security personnel and members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), reportedly reacted swiftly after receiving a distress call from the area.

“The terrorists tried to attack the village but were effectively engaged by the troops and compelled to retreat,” Makama stated.

He also noted that there were no casualties reported during the attack, as residents had evacuated the village prior to the arrival of the insurgents.

In the wake of the incident, troops have intensified patrols and surveillance around Mayo Ladde and other nearby border communities to deter further attacks and restrict the movement of the terrorists.

Mayo Ladde village is positioned along a border route connecting Askira/Uba Local Government Area and the Sambisa Forest region in Borno State.
