A toddler has sadly lost his life in a tragic accident on a major A-road just days before Christmas.

The two-year-old boy, from [location], was seated in a Toyota Auris that had broken down on the A1 in Cambridgeshire.

The vehicle was stationary in a live lane on the northbound carriageway when it was struck by a Volkswagen Touran at approximately 6:20 PM on Saturday, just beyond Stibbington Junction.
