According to the Mail , the scammer is now free from arrest warrants and ongoing legal actions.
Hayut had spent only two months in Kutaisi Penitentiary Establishment No. 2 since his arrest.
While incarcerated, the Tinder Swindler had previously "conned women out of hundreds of thousands."
Speaking from his prison cell, the Israeli fraudster stated: “Given the circumstances, I believe I’m either being set up or there’s been some kind of misunderstanding.”
Hayut was charged for crimes he allegedly committed in Germany.
The Tinder Swindler was accused of defrauding a woman in Berlin out of £38,000 and faced a potential 10-year prison sentence if extradited.
However, the 35-year-old is no longer at risk of incarceration after Berlin opted not to pursue the case.
Hayut was represented by attorneys Sharon Nahari and Mariam Kublashvili, who confirmed that "all other proceedings against him were closed."
In a joint statement, the legal team expressed: “This is an important decision.
“The plea agreement is fair and appropriate, and we celebrate our client’s release and the dismissal of all arrest warrants.
“The court explicitly ruled that both the local arrest warrant and the European warrant are canceled, and that all cases against him are concluded.”
Shimon Yehuda Hayut, who went by Leviev, became the focus of a 2022 Netflix documentary after he spent years deceiving women on the dating app Tinder, while pretending to be an heir to the Leviev diamond fortune.
He falsely claimed to be the son of Israeli diamond magnate Lev Leviev – though he has no actual relation to the family.
He was arrested in 2019 in Greece and subsequently extradited to Israel, where he served a 15-month sentence for fraud, forgery, and theft.
