A SICK thug who left his girlfriend with horror injuries after he hurled her from a 40ft tower block laughed as he was jailed today.

The teen miraculously landed on a grass verge in Solihull, West Midlands, and not a concrete path a couple of feet away that could have killed her.
Bobbie suffered life-changing injuries including a smashed spine, broken ribs, shattered pelvis and a collapsed lung.
Sickingly, Herring maintained that his then-girlfriend jumped – despite there being an hour’s wait before a 999 call was made.
The thug showed no remorse today as he was jailed for years and laughed as the sentence was handed down.
Herring, 22, was found guilty of unlawful wounding but was cleared of more serious offences of attempted murder and inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent.
He was also convicted of controlling and coercive behaviour against Bobbie after a campaign of abuse leading up to the push.
The court heard Herring had launched into the attack in a cannabis-fuelled rage after interrogating Bobbie about her Snapchat messages.
He had taken the teen to his mum’s house to evade her concerned family, who had been looking for her.
She was already “battered and bruised” with two black eyes and marks to her neck when she arrived at the tower block, it was said.
Shocking CCTV showed her plunging 40ft as Herring refused to give her CPR or call for help.
He also threatened his mum with a knife to prevent her calling emergency services, which she ultimately did not do for one hour and 20 minutes.
Herring then lied to the police – claiming Bobbie jumped from the window in a suicide attempt.
Recalling the horror, she told officers the thug held her near the window and threatened: “I will throw you out, I will kill you.”
In a victim impact statement, Bobbie, now 21, said: “What Herring did to me has affected me in many ways.
“I am extremely lucky to be alive.
Domestic abuse - how to get help
DOMESTIC abuse can affect anyone - including men - and does not always involve physical violence.
Here are some signs that you could be in an abusive relationship:
- Emotional abuse – Including being belittled, blamed for the abuse – gaslighting – being isolated from family and friends, having no control over your finances, what you where and who you speak to
- Threats and intimidation – Some partners might threaten to kill or hurt you, destroy your belongings, stalk or harass you
- Physical abuse – This can range from slapping or hitting to being shoved over, choked or bitten.
- Sexual abuse – Being touched in a way you do not want to be touched, hurt during sex, pressured into sex or forced to have sex when you do not consent.
If any of the above apply to you or a friend, you can call these numbers:

Every 30 seconds the police receive a call for help relating to domestic abuse.
“To be honest I have no idea how I survived what happened to me.
“I am lucky to have a loving family around me to help me with my injuries and rehabilitation. I realised I was constantly controlled.
“I am in constant pain with my back and pelvis. He made me feel worthless and empty and had total control of my life.
“I woke up in hospital not knowing what had happened. I have always been afraid of heights.”
Sentencing, Judge Simon Drew KC, said Herring was a “dangerous offender” as he also extended his licence period for a year.
