A 15-YEAR-OLD boy has died after being buried in a horror avalanche in Canada.
Emergency crews were called at 12.45pm following reports two people were missing after an avalanche tore through the area.

According to reports, the two skiers were swept up by the surge and buried beneath heavy mounds of .
One of the victims managed to dig themselves out unharmed.
The other – who remains unnamed – was found unresponsive and rushed to the Alberta Children’s Hospital.
Cochrane RCMP confirmed the teenager died early Saturday morning.
In a statement to CBC News, a spokesperson for Nakiska said: “Our hearts are with the family and friends of the individual.
“We are sending our deepest care to the family dealing with this horrible situation.
“In these difficult times, our entire mountain community shares in your grief and sorrow.”
The tragedy unfolded near the Nakiska ski hill, west of Calgary in Kananaskis Country.
The spokesperson added that a full investigation into the incident is ongoing.
Unfortunately, the teenager’s death is the latest in a growing list of avalanche fatalities this .
Earlier this week, two young skiers were killed in a avalanche in Italy after the snow gave way beneath their feet.
Marika Mascherona, 28, and Alberto De Maron, 27, lost their lives on the southwest face of Mount Cornaccia on Thursday morning.
The pair, both from Valtellina, were buried under tonnes of snow near the Cancano dams in the province of Sondrio.
Rescuers clawed desperately through the snow as helicopters thundered overhead – but it was too late.
Witnesses told Corriere della Sera that “a snow cornice broke away from under their feet, and they fell down the rocks with the avalanche”.
The alarm was raised just before 11am after three people were caught up in the high-altitude slide.

The death toll across , , and has already climbed above 60 this season alone.
In the French Alps, at least 27 people have died this year – including who lost their lives in the past week.
It marks France’s highest avalanche death toll since the 2020/21 season, when 40 people were killed.
