A TEENAGER has died and two others raced to hospital after a car crashed into a tree leaving them trapped inside.

Police scrambled to reports of a collision in Allostock, near Northwich in , at around 9.40pm on Sunday.

Emergency services rushed to Holmes Chapel Road where they found a grey Corsa had crashed into a tree.

Three fire crews had to cut the roof off the to reach the three teenagers trapped inside.

The front-seat passenger – an 18-year-old man from Northwich – sustained critical injuries.

Despite the best efforts of paramedics, he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, an 18-year-old from Davenham who was driving the vehicle, also suffered serious injuries.

He was raced to Royal Stoke Hospital and his current condition is described as “critical”.

A 17-year-old boy, who was a rear seat passenger, was also injured and taken to .

Cheshire Police described his condition as stable.

The force have now made an appeal for witnesses and any dashcam footage following the horror crash.

Detective Sergeant Iain Condliffe, of the Serious Collision Unit, said: “This was a tragic incident and as we work to establish the exact circumstances of what happened, we are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to get in touch with us.

“The same goes for anyone who may happen to have any dashcam footage or any further information which could aid our enquiries.”

A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue said: “Firefighters were called to a road traffic collision involving one car in Northwich.

“The roof of the vehicle was removed and three casualties were extricated and handed over to paramedics.

“Police were also in attendance.”
