A SWIMMER has tragically died in front of his partner after getting into difficulty in the sea at a popular Cornish beach.
Emergency services rushed to Spit Beach Car Park, near Par in , following reports that the 54-year-old man was struggling in the water.

A spokesperson told MailOnline: “He was with his partner, they were having a swim and when she came out she turned around to see him face down in the water.
“He was pulled out very quickly, but he couldn’t be recovered.”;
Another police spokesperson said: “Somebody has been rescued from the water by the Coastguard.
“The Coastguard called Devon and Cornwall after somebody got into difficulty in the water.”;
