“You can make your own wrapping paper now for very little,” she began in a clip from the program shared on TikTok.
She was joined by her Sort Your Life Out friend Dilly Carter as she demonstrated how to cut out foam pieces in shapes like holly leaves and circles.
Stacey then glued the foam shapes to the ends of pens, effectively creating her own “stamps.”
Next, she poured red and white paint into dishes and laid out some brown craft paper in front of her.
Stacey and Dilly then used their stamps to create holly leaves in white and berries in red.
Once they finished, they showcased the paper wrapping up some gifts in preparation for the big day.
“This looks like so much fun – and easy too!” the BBC captioned the video on TikTok.
However, many viewers in the comments section were not convinced by the crafty hack.
“Who has time for this?” one user sighed.
“You can also buy wrapping paper for very little!” another pointed out.
“Craft paper is more expensive than wrapping paper,” a third commented.
“You still have to buy the brown paper, which isn't cheap,” someone else agreed.
“Probably cheaper than Christmas wrap, but... it’s a lot of work!”
“Like it’s a new discovery,” another user grumbled.
Some of Stacey’s other festive hacks have been better received, such as when she made chocolate slabs as gifts.
She was joined by her husband Joe Swash as they melted inexpensive chocolate bars and prepared toppings to add on.
