Owning a winning ticket from his £15 monthly subscription, Simon became the proud new owner of an incredible house overlooking Crantock Beach on the north coast of .
The unbelievable prize comes with £160,000-worth of furnishings – as well as a further £250,000 to spruce the place up and keep it maintained.
Being a massive fan, web developer Simon naturally wants to ditch the dining table for one with pockets and green baize.
He said: “My dad and I love snooker, but we’ve never had the space for a proper snooker table before.
“We’ve been having to play virtual snooker at home. But now we’ve got more than enough room – I could even use my cue extension.
“I’ll set up my own mini Crucible here, complete with unbelievable views that will complement the green and blue balls on the table perfectly.
“I’m seriously thinking about swapping out the dining table for a snooker table – although my wife might need a bit of persuading, at least there’s now enough space to bring the discussion to the table, as it were.”
Simon has been with wife Riza, 35, for five years.

And she was just as excited as him to learn of their incredible prize.
He added: “My wife had been working 14-hour days all week, but even though she was knackered, she started jumping up and down when they told us, she’s been jumping with joy ever since.
“First thing we did was go and see my mum and dad.
“They refused to believe us at first, but when they realised it was real, my mum burst into tears.”
Simon and Riza are still mulling over whether to keep the house, which could likely fetch them around £4,500 per month in rent should they look to let it out.
On their future plans, Simon added: “My parents have helped me over the years, and it’s going to be amazing to finally be in a position where I can help them back. That means a lot.
“Thanks to the £250,000 in cash, if we decide to keep the house, we could afford to run it for many years – and it’s amazing to have that option.
“If we decide not to live there full-time, we’ve got fantastic choices – we can rent it out for extra income or sell up and bank the cash.
“Whatever we decide to do, it’s going to be life-changing.
“We’ve got options now we never dreamed of – and that’s the best feeling in the world!”
