THIS is the moment a Ryanair flight was plunged into chaos as a brawl broke out, understood to have been triggered by a crying baby.
Police were called to the flight, travelling from London Stansted to Lisbon , shortly before 7pm yesterday evening.
Terrified children can be heard screaming and crying in the background while passengers stand in the aircraft’s aisle.
One mum is heard saying: “It’s okay, we’re going now,” as she tries to comfort her child.
Tempers are understood to have flared once the plane touched down in Lisbon.
Local reports claim a fight broke out between two passengers, sparked by a crying baby.
Police were then called to deal with the disturbance, keeping everyone onboard until officers arrived.
It is understood that the baby had been crying earlier on in the flight, but tensions only erupted into chaos after the aircraft landed.
A Ryanair spokesperson told The Sun: “The crew of this flight from London Stansted to Lisbon (12 Aug) called for police assistance after two passengers became disruptive onboard.
“The aircraft was met by local police and these passengers were removed.
“Ryanair has a strict zero tolerance policy towards passenger misconduct and will continue to take decisive action to combat unruly passenger behaviour, ensuring that all passengers and crew travel in a safe and respectful environment, without unnecessary disruption.
“This is a matter for local police.”
Last month, a female Ryanair passenger was left sobbing on her knees after being banned from boarding her flight.
The tearful woman was left hitting a door in an emotional outburst as airport staff reportedly told her that her hand luggage was too big.
Chaos unfolded at Sofia Airport in Bulgaria when the woman was left screaming, sobbing and venting her frustration over Ryanair ‘s strict baggage policy.
A packed flight was due to board a bus to their plane when the female passenger was stopped in the queue.
Nikolay Stefanov, a witness to the shocking ordeal, said the woman was told she had to pay for extra baggage because her luggage didn’t fit in the holdall.
The woman refused to pay as she explained her bag could in fact fit.
A Ryanair spokesperson told The Sun: “This passenger booked a Basic Fare ticket for this flight from Sofia to Vienna which allowed them to carry a small personal bag onboard.
“As this passenger’s bag exceeded the permitted size, they were correctly required to pay a standard gate baggage fee however refused to do so and became aggressive towards gate staff.
“As a result of their aggressive behaviour, the gate agent denied this passenger boarding for this flight from Sofia to Vienna.”
