The Archdiocese of Kaduna has dismissed rumors that the abducted Rev. Fr. Bobbo Paschal has been killed by his captors.

In a statement released on Thursday, Rev. Fr. Christian Okewu Emmanuel, the Chancellor, urged the public to ignore unverified rumors.
“We have been made aware of the unverified news circulating on social media claiming that the kidnapped priest, Rev. Fr. Bobbo Paschal, has been killed.
“We categorically deny this information as false and baseless, and it should be dismissed by the public. Fr. Paschal is still alive, and efforts by the relevant authorities are actively underway for his safe and swift release.
“We ask the public, bloggers, and social media users to refrain from disseminating unverified information, understanding that such rumors can lead to unnecessary panic, trauma for the priest’s family, and hinder any progress being made to rescue the victims.
“The Archdiocese is thankful for the prayers and support from the faithful and the general public, and encourages everyone to continue in solidarity with prayers for Fr. Paschal and others held by their abductors.
“Any further updates not communicated through our official channels should be disregarded.”
