REAL MADRID legend Iker Casillas publicly stated he doesn’t want Jose Mourinho to return to the Santiago Bernabeu dugout.

Mourinho, 63, looks where he spent three years and won LaLiga as well as Copa del Rey before leaving under a cloud in 2013 when he accused the dressing room of “betraying” him.

No tengo ningún problema con Mourinho. Me parece un gran profesional. No le quiero en el @realmadrid . Creo que otros entrenadores estarían mejor capacitados para entrenar en el club de mi vida. Opinión personal. Nada mas.

Perez accused his detractors of trying to bring down the club and became embroiled in a stand-up row with a Madrid-based journalist and other reporters.

Scrolling through his mobile phone, he accused the ABC title of making up rumours that he was “tired” because he was suffering from “terminal cancer”, adding: “They must be Atletico [Madrid] fans.”

“So we’re not talking about football today; there’s a more pressing matter I need to address.

“My health is perfect. I get up early in the morning and I’m the last one to go to bed, I work like a dog.

“There are people who want to take over Real Madrid, the club we’ve made the greatest in the world.

“To those who operate in the shadows, I say let them run in the elections. Now they have their chance. I will defend the interests of Real Madrid.”

Former , Manchester United and Tottenham manager Mourinho is Perez’s first choice to take the helm after a season of that capped off a second consecutive trophyless campaign.

Real are set to trigger the clause in Mourinho’s Benfica contract that allows him to leave for £2.6million in the 10 days after the end of the domestic season.
