The presidency has refuted the assertion that the image of President Bola Tinubu alongside his Rwandan counterpart, Paul Kagame, taken in Paris, was generated by artificial intelligence.

DAILY POST reports that the photograph shared from Tinubu’s alleged meeting with Kagame in Paris ignited online discussions after users noticed a Grok watermark on the image.

However, a statement released on Monday by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Temitope Ajayi, described these claims as a “misrepresentation of facts.”

According to the statement, the “image is authentic and not AI-generated as suggested.”

“Both President Kagame and President Tinubu met in Paris and enjoyed lunch together on Sunday.

“The two leaders later dined with President Macron the same evening. The photo was taken with a phone and, understandably, had poor quality.”

However, he acknowledged that the photographer “used Grok to enhance the image quality.”
