Portugal captain, Cristiano Ronaldo, missed Wednesday’s training with a stomach bug.
The Manchester United forward did not participate in sessions with the national team ahead of Thursday’s international friendly with Nigeria.
Ronaldo has been hugging headlines for days because of his controversial interview with Piers Morgan.
The 37-year-old now faces an uncertain future at United after he publicly lashed out at the Premier League side, manager Erik ten Hag and former teammates Wayne Rooney and Gary Neville.
However, he is preparing to participate in his fifth and possibly last World Cup with Portugal.
The game against the Super Eagles will be one of the warm-up matches before the tournament.
