“Police officers transported me to the trauma unit at Royal Stoke A&E, but sadly, Rosemary had passed away from her injuries just moments earlier.
“Many of you may have known Rosemary as she frequently walked in the Milton, Baddeley Green, and Bagnall areas, always wearing a red anorak.
“For many years, she worked at Baddeley Green Pharmacy before moving to Baddeley Green Surgery, retiring in 2010.

Staffordshire Police reported that they arrested an 86-year-old man from Stoke-on-Trent on Saturday, December 13.
He was taken into custody on suspicion of causing death by careless or inconsiderate driving, failing to stop after a road accident, and failing to report an accident.
The authorities have questioned the man, who has been released on bail while their investigation into the incident continues.
Ken also expressed his gratitude to the members of the public who stayed with Rosemary until help arrived, as well as to the emergency services.
He stated: “I want to acknowledge the members of the public who stayed with Rosemary, ensuring she was not alone until the emergency services arrived.
“I extend my heartfelt thanks to the police, ambulance, paramedics, critical care team, the Midlands Air Ambulance, and the doctors and nurses in trauma bay 1 at Royal Stoke A&E, who all valiantly attempted to save her.
“Lastly, I would like to give special thanks to my family and friends for their support, along with my two police family liaison officers, Lili-Rose and Shannan, who are helping me navigate this incredibly challenging time. Without them, I would have struggled to cope.
