A RAPE victim snatched from her bath when she was six in a case that shocked Britain 20 years ago has spoken for the first time — to demand her attacker is never released.

She says , who is serving life for sneaking into her family home and abducting her before dumping her naked in an alleyway, remains too dangerous to be freed.

But Voisey, now 54, could soon be back on the streets as he is appearing before today to plead for his freedom.

He claims he is no longer a risk, yet his victim insists he will always be a threat.

She is urging the Parole Board to keep him caged and said: “He’s a monster and monsters should be locked up forever.

“I will suffer for what he did to me for the rest of my life.

“I will always be in my own personal prison so why should he get his freedom? He’s an animal who doesn’t deserve to walk freely among other human beings.”

I still recall being dumped and being told, ‘You’re never going to see your mum again

Victim

She was just six when she was on her own in the bathroom in the family’s ground floor flat in Wallsend, , two days after Christmas in 2005.

Her mum was putting the girl’s toddler brother to bed.

She went to check on her daughter and discovered she was missing.

Voisey — a 6ft 2in serial offender with 30 previous convictions for burglary and indecent assault, including against a child — had crept in through the unlocked back door.

He threatened the girl and took her on a terrifying 15-minute ride through the streets in his battered Astra.

People think a lot of time has passed and I should be able to get over it in 20 years. But to me it could have happened a few months ago, it’s that raw

Victim

Voisey stopped twice to rape and then sexually assault her before dumping her in an alleyway.

A couple heard her cries for help and raised the alarm.

The attack is now the 26-year-old’s first memory and continues to haunt her.

She got a degree and does a job she loves but has terrifying flashbacks and nightmares, has difficulty forming relationships and is fearful of becoming a mum herself.

The woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, said: “He took away a huge part of my life.

“I have nightmares still, all the time.

“I am 26 and I still can’t take a shower without someone else being in the house to make me feel safe.

“I still recall being dumped and being told, ‘You’re never going to see your mum again’.

To let him out would be a great threat to society

Victim

Voisey was caught when police made a routine check as he was on for indecently assaulting a girl in a swimming pool changing room.

The divorced dad of three, a van driver, of Blyth, , denied kidnap, rape and indecent assault but was convicted at Newcastle crown court in October 2006.

Voisey was given a life sentence for each charge but a minimum term of just nine years and 124 days — meaning he could apply for parole once that time had passed.

He is desperate to be freed and has so far made five unsuccessful applications to the Parole Board.

His victim fears that as the discussion about him living back in the community has already started, he could be released this time.

She said: “To let him out would be a great threat to society.

“I wasn’t the first victim and if he is released I won’t be the last.”

Shadow Justice Secretary Nick Timothy said: “Peter Voisey is guilty of despicable, evil crimes.

“His danger to children is why he was given a life sentence, and that is what he should serve.”
