Noni Madueke has reassured Chelsea supporters that he was not the one posting provocative content on social media to provoke them.

Many Blues fans reacted to a recent post on X featuring him in a shirt, accompanied by a simple caption: “much better.”

A quick look at Madueke’s X account reveals a plethora of tweets from his earlier days, with the last one being almost a year ago on November 23, 2024.

Following the backlash, Madueke took to his Instagram account to clarify the situation.

He stated: “Guys, I don’t have access to my X account details.

“I’ll update my bio and other details once I regain access to the account. My apologies,” Madueke added, along with a laughing-crying emoji and a heart-hand emoji.

The 23-year-old winger has been sidelined due to a knee injury sustained in September.

Reports suggest he is making significant progress, and a return could be ‘imminent’, which would bring good news to both Arsenal and fans after his strong start to the season.

As of now, Arsenal is leading the Premier League, three points ahead of Chelsea and with a game in hand, as they prepare to face Tottenham on Sunday afternoon.

Madueke transferred to the Emirates Stadium in the summer for £48.5 million, a move that sparked a petition gathering almost 5,000 signatures.

The hashtag ‘#NoToMadueke’ also gained traction on X, putting the England international in a challenging position even before he joined the club.

Despite not recording any goals or assists, Madueke has quickly endeared himself to the Gunners’ fanbase with his direct approach and courage on the ball, adding speed and skill to Arsenal’s attack.

In a recent episode of The Dispatch podcast earlier this month, Madueke expressed his appreciation for the club’s fans now that he has settled into his new environment in north London.

“The team has been fantastic. We are doing really well. It’s not just a squad of talented individuals,” he remarked.

“It’s a group of genuinely good people. The culture here is probably the best I’ve experienced.”

“Regarding the supporters, it was a bit tricky at first on social media before I arrived at the club.

“However, during matches at the stadium, I haven’t sensed any criticism from the fans.”

“Naturally, I play down the pitch, so I can hear the fans, and they encourage me throughout the game. Whenever I receive the ball, I can hear their support.

“I hope that continues because it gives me a tremendous boost.

“I always enjoy playing at the Emirates and look forward to the next game when I’m back there.

“The fans have been incredible, and I truly appreciate how they’ve handled everything.”
