NESTLE has urgently recalled a fresh batch of baby formula – amid food poisoning fears.

The food giant had recalled several batches of its SMA infant formula and follow-on formula over fears it could cause “severe vomiting”.

Concerns were raised the product could contain the toxin cereulide, which can cause nausea, vomiting and abdominal cramps if consumed.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) confirmed more than 60 batches were .

Now, the latest batch to be recalled is 800g packs of SMA Advanced First Infant Milk.

The affected products come with a best before date of December 2027 and are marked 53390346AB

In a statement, Nestle said there were no confirmed reports of any illness linked to the products.

But the firm said it was making the product recall “out of an abundance of caution”.

The FSA said: “Nestlé has updated the recall of several SMA Infant Formula and Follow-On Formula because cereulide has been found in the product.

“This recall has been extended to include one additional batch for one product.

“The additional product included in this update is distributed only within Northern Ireland.”
