IT’S the trend that’s taken over fashion magazines and high streets – which is why Molly-Mae’s Maebe has also jumped on the viral oversized suit look.

The alumn, 26, launched – quality range of staples including boxy jackets, adjustable-waist jeans and short-sleeve knit tops – last year.

Despite facing backlash over its pricing, the brand has been continuing to launch new items, including an oversized blazer and pleated suit trousers to go with it.

Fashionistas can buy the two separately, forking out an eye-watering £140 for the blazer and £100 for the bottoms – or spend £240 for the smart ensemble.

It’s exactly the latter one ”twin and teen mum” did – however, the pricey haul turned out to be a major flop.

While the model online looked sleek and sophisticated, mum Hollie was left horrified after she took a snap of herself in the expensive set.

On Maebe website, the 5’9ft model looked fierce and not to be messed with, as the elegant blazer gave her curves an hourglass appearance.

The suit trousers, though oversized and baggy, had a refined feel to them, and the two complimented one another perfectly.

Sadly for the online shopper, who posts under the username @ hollielondonslife , the chic set clearly fell far below her expectations.

Taking to TikTok to share the epic fail, Hollie said: ”Is it me or is this a madness, lol. £240 for what feels like a p***take.

”Maebe or maybe not,” said Hollie, jokingly adding she had forked out a fortune ”to look like ”.

Despite allegedly ordering the same size the model was wearing in the photoshoot, Hollie’s ensemble looked nothing like the photos online, with the unironed trousers dragging on the floor.

The furious mum went on in the comments: ”This is a small. If I go smaller on pants they will be even more half mass.”

Leaving fellow TikTokers in hysterics with the shopping disaster, Hollie said this order wasn’t what she had ”expected” at all.

‘Maebe not’

Uploaded earlier this September, the fashion blunder has taken the internet by storm, winning the mum more than 220k views.

One fan of the Love Island alumn and mum-of-one said: ”Unpopular opinion but I’m yet to find a single thing on the maebe website I’d actually buy. Love Molly tho.”

Molly-Mae's glow-down from ‘glamour model’ to ‘yummy mummy’

PR Expert, Ed Hopkins told Fabulous: “I believe ‘s new look is more than just a style change but a powerful statement of who she is becoming.

“It underscores her journey towards authenticity, maturity, and sophistication and is likely to enhance her success and influence in the years to come.”

Brand and Culture Expert Nick Ede agreed, and told Fabulous: “Molly-Mae has transformed herself into a yummy mummy who has ditched the glamour model style for a more relaxed and natural look.

“She’s becoming more down to earth and relatable to people and cleverly showing a softer side which will win her legions more fans in the process.”

According to Ed Hopkins, Molly-Mae’s chic new look could be “highly lucrative” for the star.

Ed told Fabulous: “Molly-Mae Hague’s transformation towards a more natural, chic look seems to be a testament to her personal growth and evolving style.

“This change, which has become more pronounced since she became a mother, appears to reflect her journey towards embracing authenticity and sophistication.

“It’s possible that this new image could be highly lucrative for Molly-Mae.

“Her chic, understated style might appeal to a wider audience, including more mature demographics and high-end brands, potentially opening up lucrative endorsement deals and partnerships.

“By adopting a more elegant look, she seems to align herself with premium and brands that favour natural beauty and sophistication, which could lead to higher-paying collaborations.

“Additionally, with consumers increasingly valuing authenticity and natural beauty, her new image could be both timely and marketable.”

Nick Ede agreed and told Fabulous: “She has started to promote some really great luxury brands including the cosmetics brand Tatcha and with her laid back look she will make a lot of from brands looking to align with her.”

Ed also noted that Molly-Mae’s transformation may be a sign that she is looking to step away from her reality show past.

He continued: “Molly-Mae’s transformation also seems to symbolise her desire even more so to well and truly step out of the shadow of her Love Island persona.

“The shift to a more mature and unique style appears to demonstrate her growth and her wish to be seen as an individual beyond her reality TV beginnings.

“By shedding the bold, flashy look associated with her time on Love Island, she might be rebranding herself as a serious businesswoman and influencer who is carving out her own identity.

“This new look helps her stand out in the crowded influencer market, showcasing her as a trendsetter with a distinctive, refined aesthetic.”

Nick agreed and claimed: “Shedding the flash looks she previously went for, she’s also detaching herself from the Love Island stereotype and stepping out as her own person with a cool look that’s not flashy but totally on trend.

“Gone are the ‘look at me’ posts and in are family style posts and trend led fashion statements.”

Meanwhile, a critic thought: ”Price giving designer but the quality is giving PLT crazyyyy she’s got to drop the prices for these boring fits.”

”I think even a smaller size wouldn’t look great honestly,” someone else chimed in.

”I’ve never understood the hype of this brand. The clothes are so average and nothing special given the price tag,” a TikToker shared their brutal verdict.

The long-awaited fashion brand after the influencer revealed how much she’s charging for a basic tee, jeans and blazers.

Many have slammed the “outrageous” prices – which range between £35 and £140 – and questioned why the range is “so expensive”.

Maebe’s “ultimate blazer” was priced at an eye-watering £140, while a white tee was £35 and a pair of jeans £90.

The “contour popper top” was going for £50, while an office-friendly white shirt would’ve set you back a whopping £65.
