Lithuanian migrant Aurelijus Cielevicius, now 42, admitted causing their deaths by dangerous driving.

Cielevicius was under the influence of several drugs and had been speeding at more than 90mph before the fatal collision.

He smashed head-on into a Mokka driven by Paul Carter, 41, with his wife Lisa Carter, 49 and her daughter, 25-year-old Jade Mace, as they travelled in the opposite direction.

Tragically none of the family could be saved and were all declared dead at the scene.

Norwich Crown was told Cielevicius had sped through red traffic lights in the moments before the crash.

He was overtaking another car when he ploughed into the family as they drove in the opposite direction.

Forensic collision investigators determined the speedometer was stuck at 96mph when the crash occurred.

Cielevicius was taken to after he was sedated for being agitated and uncooperative at the scene.

Medics found he had suffered minor injuries including two broken ribs and he was arrested and later charged.

Toxicology tests revealed the driver had Methylamphetamine (crystal meth), Mephedrone and in his system as well as other .

In June 2023 the dangerous driver was slapped with a ten-and-a-half-year sentence for killing Summer’s family.

However the migrant is now due to be released from jail, having served just three years of his sentence.

When he is let out of prison Cielevicius will be deported back to .

Summer, from King’s Lynn, told ITV News it feels like the migrant has been given a get out of jail free card.

She said: “Three years is just an absolute outrage. We were outraged before and now I just feel like I have no faith in this justice system.

“He will get to go and live his life free in his home country and be allowed to go out to the shops, allowed to go out wherever he wants to go and move on with his life, whereas we never will. There’s no justice served.

“My hope would be that they’ll re-look at the early release scheme and think about what actually that means for victims, not that it’s freeing up prison space.”

The case has been raised in the Commons during Prime Minister’s Questions by the MP for North West Norfolk.

James Wild MP said: “My constituent’s mum, sister and stepfather were killed in a horrific dangerous driving and the foreign-national offender was sentenced to 10 and a half years, but the family has just been told that he may be released imminently in order to be deported having just served three years.

“Will the prime minister look at this case and what steps can be taken to prevent that release given such a pitiful service time?

“Three years for three lives would be the final insult and undermine public confidence in our justice system.”

Sir described it as a “terrible case” and said he would look into it as “quickly as possible.”
