MICAH RICHARDS stuck it on BBC host Mark Chapman for his daring outfit choice during Saturday’s World Cup coverage.

Fan-favourite Chappers rocked up to the studio in an eye-catching black button-down shirt covered in a red feather print.

And pundit Richards was never going to let it lie.

The former defender jumped in with: “Let’s address the elephant in the room first. The shirt! It’s fancy for you, Chappers.”

But fellow analyst leapt to Chapman’s defence.

He interrupted Richards to say: “I think it’s fantastic.”

But that was not enough to throw the ex-Manchester City man off his stride.

Richards continued: “Where are you going, Miami? New York? You’re not going there for radio. We’re not there yet!”

The BBC have opted to do the bulk of their broadcasting from a state-of-the-art studio in , while rivals have a glitzy venue in New York.

With a playful nod to that, Chappers looked around at the projector screen showing a fake American background behind him and said: “I think it’s a lovely Saturday afternoon here in… Houston?

“And I thought I’d just keep the vibe. Is that alright? Can I talk now?”

Richards finally backed down as Chapman referred to Frank and Lionesses legend Ellen White – the other two on the punditry panel – as his “favourites”.
