TWO men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was found lying dead in the street.

Cops launched a murder probe after the man was tragically found in just after midnight on Sunday.

Emergency services found a man in his 50s unresponsive outside a house on a residential street around 12.05am.

Cops rushed to the scene, but he was sadly already dead when they arrived.

The force confirmed their enquiries are ongoing and the murder probe is “at a very early stage”.

While try to work out the details of the suspected murder, two suspects have been arrested in connection with the grim incident.

Two men, one aged 48 and another aged 49, have now been arrested on suspicion of murder.

In a statement, said: “Officers are investigating after the unexplained death of a man from Bolton.

“Shortly after 12.05am on Sunday, police were called by emergency services after an unresponsive man in his 50s was found outside a property on Blackshaw Lane, Bolton.

“Officers attended and sadly the man had passed away.

“Two men aged 48 and 49 have been arrested on suspicion of murder. They remain in custody for questioning.”

Cops urged anyone who may have been in the area around Blackshaw Lane that night to get in touch.

The is still ongoing and police are keen to hear any information which could assist their enquiries.

Detective Inspector Craig Hurst, of Bolton CID, said: “The investigation is at a very early stage, and our enquiries are ongoing into what has led to the man’s death.

“If anybody has any information that they think may assist us, particularly those that may have been in the area yesterday evening/ the early hours of this morning, please get in touch.
