THE terrorism charges against Luigi Mangione, the suspect accused of assassinating the chief executive of UnitedHealthcare, have been dismissed in his state case.
Mangione , who was the center of a manhunt last December in the cold-blooded killing of healthcare CEO Brian Thompson in Midtown Manhattan, emerged in court on Tuesday for the first time in five months.

Mangione’s legal team secured a major victory in court after Judge Gregory Carro ruled in their favor of dismissing two terror-related charges the alleged assassin faced.
The defense team argued that the two charges, murder in the first degree in furtherance of an act of terrorism and murder in the second degree as a crime of terrorism, should be tossed because crimes of terrorism as defined in New York State refers to attack on multiple civilians, not the shooting of a sole individual.
