According to the man’s neighbours, the suspected murderer was prone to aggressive outbursts and was always on meds.
Pictures of the 46-year-old’s cramped hotel room near the town of Pattaya, south of Bangkok have now been released.
Images show his bed surrounded by unfolded clothes left on a drying rack and a chair, and trash.
Piles of paper and bottles of water on a desk can be seen, and kitchen items and containers are dumped on a bench near the doorway.
Several empty bottles of what appear to be spirits are seen on top of the fridge.
Footage shows , 17, in the lobby of the hotel at 3.34am on Thursday.

He is seen holding her hand and leading her towards the hotel room.
Thai say further CCTV showed from his room before getting on a motorcycle with it on the back just 18 hours later.
It matched the bag that Tunchanok’s body was found in just 10 minutes from the hotel on Friday, police said.
Thai police retraced the victim’s last movements to the room where they found signs of a struggle and blood splattered across the floor.

“From around 3.30am until about 9pm, when he disposed of the body, he appeared to go about his daily routine as usual,” Pattaya Superintendent Colonel Anek Srathongyoo told the Sydney Morning Herald on Monday.
“We watched every single clip. He went downstairs to buy food, bought some groceries, did his laundry – everything seemed completely normal.
“Then we came to the part of the footage where he is with the suitcase … but instead of leaving through the front entrance, he exited through the back door.”
The suspect was arrested at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) on Friday.

Authorities believe he was planning to flee the country.
During police Carman allegedly said he agreed to pay the girl 1,000 baht (£22).
An argument erupted when he tried to halve the payment.
He claimed that Tunchanok had attacked him with a knife, and he acted in self-defence.
Asked by an officer if he killed the girl, Carman said: “No”.
He has since been charged with murder, concealment of a body, and taking a minor for sexual purposes.
Police boss Anek Sarathongyu said: “We believe he killed her, and he is being questioned on suspicion of murder.
“Although the foreign man denies killing her, we do not believe him. The evidence that he killed her is extremely strong.”
The young girl’s heartbroken family have called for the former mechanic to face the death penalty.
A murder conviction in Thailand can result in a life sentence or the death penalty.
