LIONEL MESSI produced another moment of magic and in doing so broke yet another record.

The great man came off the bench and scored a free-kick on 80 minutes to take his tally to six goals at this World Cup, and become the first player to score in SEVEN World Cup games in a row.

The World Cup holders went in two goals up at the break thanks to goals from Giovani Lo Celso and Lautaro Martinez.

Musa Al-Taamari then halved the deficit early in the second half for a Jordan team who have fought hard in all three group stage matches.

Then we heard the biggest roar of the night on the hour mark when Messi replaced Martinez, and late in the game he scored yet another free-kick which turned out to be a record-breaking goal.
