FORMER Watchdog and Countryfile presenter Julia Bradbury has spent the last five years keeping her breast cancer at bay – now she has financial woes, too.

Her company, Matron Productions, has entered liquidation, owing £425,671 — much of it fines for not paying taxes.

, who is also known for her walking shows on , has fronted fewer series since .

Her treatment included a mastectomy to remove a 6cm tumour from her left breast, and she has since overhauled the lifestyle she pursued when her career was at its busiest from the Noughties.

In a recent interview, she said: “I was out and about filming all the time, eating at petrol stations, airports. It would be a ham and cheese sandwich, with a bit of pickle if you were lucky, in the back of a car and a bag of Haribo.

“I was having sugar all day in crazy quantities but I’m naturally slim so I didn’t have the warning sign some people have of putting on weight.”

Julia has been back on telly since her diagnosis, fronting on ITV in 2022 and stripping off for on the same channel in 2023.

Insolvency practitioners Begbies Traynor were appointed last month to commence the winding up of Matron Productions.

We wish Julia the very best for the future — and can’t wait to see her back on our screens soon.
