Jess and her fiancé TJ O’Reilly welcomed baby Mia 11 months ago after a journey.

Mia is now in hospital with a contagious infection called rotavirus, which could be potentially life-threatening.;

The tot has also experienced a scary allergic reaction, which has left Jess reeling.

Taking to her stories after a night in hospital and a mystery illness, Jess revealed her daughter has now been diagnosed with rotavirus.

Sharing a snap of her baby, she updated fans and said: “To add to the mix, Mia has rotavirus.”

She later shared a video of the tot and wrote alongside it: “Seeming a lot perkier but she’s having to stay another night and tomorrow day as it’s day 4 of no food and stull refusing water.

“So until she eats and drinks we stay in hospital.”

But soon after this update, Jess revealed that Mia’s health took another turn for the worse.

“Couldn’t write this… she’s just had an allergic reaction to something in hospital,” she revealed, with no further explanation.

According to the NHS, rotavirus is an infection that causes diarrhoea and vomiting, and it’s very common in babies and young children.

The health provider explains how children with rotavirus will get better in a few days, “but some children can become very dehydrated and need treatment in hospital”.

They also stated: “Very rarely, rotavirus can be life-threatening.”

The infection can be spread “very easily” with vaccination recommended for babies to stop them from getting infected.

This isn’t the first time Mia has been in recent months as she was admitted in April following a terrifying ordeal.

What is rotavirus?

ROTAVIRUS is an infection that causes diarrhoea and vomiting.

The infection is especially in babies and young children.

Most children with rotavirus will get better in a few days.

But the NHS notes how some children “can become very dehydrated and need treatment in hospital”.

The health provider also states that although very rare, the infection can be life-threatening.

“Rotavirus spreads very easily. Vaccination is recommended for babies to help stop them getting infected,” the NHS urges.

Jess explained how she woke up in the middle of the night and brought back Mia back into bed with her.

She then “dozed off” but she was woken up to a “weird noise” and saw that Mia was choking.

As Mia choked and Jess was clueless to why, it later turned out to be revealed that the tot had ingested a small earring that Jess had lost earlier in the week.

When Jess shot to fame on MAFS, she was partnered with Dreamboys dancer Pjay Finch, but they separated midway through the experiment.
