Zamfara: Bandits attack Bakura town, abduct many, injure one

Suspected bandits launched a violent attack on Bakura town in Bakura Local Government Area of Zamfara State on Sunday night, abducting several residents and injuring one person.

According to a post shared by security analyst Bakatsine on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, the attackers stormed the town in large numbers and began shooting sporadically.

“Last night, bandits stormed Bakura town, Bakura LGA in Zamfara State shooting sporadically. They injured one person and abducted several people during the attack,”; he wrote.

Authorities have yet to issue an official statement on the attack, and no arrests have been reported.
