Al Nassr captain, Cristiano Ronaldo, on Tuesday said he was very proud of his eldest son, Cristiano Jr., after he made his debut for the Portugal U15 team in Croatia.
DAILY POST reports that the 14-year-old youngster came off the bench as the Portugal U15 team claimed a convincing win over Japan in their opening game of the tournament.
The young Selecao won 4-1 against Japan, with Rafael Cabral grabbing the headlines.
After the game, Ronaldo took to social media to celebrate his son’s international debut.
Expressing his pride, the former Real Madrid and Manchester United forward congratulated the youngster.
“Congratulations on your debut by @selecaoportugal, son. Very proud of you!”;; Ronaldo tweeted alongside a picture of his son.
Cristiano Jr. was accompanied to the tournament in Croatia by his grandmother, Maria Dolores.
He is currently in Al Nassr’s academy team and is the only player from outside Europe to be involved with the U15s this month.
He will hope to play in Portugal’s other two games against Greece and England.
