US Department of Agriculture cuts $2.5bn by terminating 420 grants

The United States Secretary of Agriculture, Brooke Rollins, has revealed that the US Department of Agriculture has cut $2.5 billion by ending 420 wasteful grants.

According to Rollins, the US Department of Agriculture archived this in the last three weeks.

She disclosed this in a tweet on her X account on Wednesday.

The Secretary noted the wasteful grants includes $100,000 for climate resilience and sustainable agriculture in Ghana and $361,000 for gender non-conforming, non-binary, two-spirit BIPOC farmers in New York.

Rollins tweeted: “We continue to cut MASSIVE waste @USDA. In just the last 3 weeks, we have cut $2.5 BILLION by ending 420 wasteful grants, to include:

“$361k for gender non- conforming, non-binary, two-spirit”; BIPOC farmers in New York.

“$150k for gender lensed curricula designed to be transdisciplinary in the food, agriculture, natural resources and human sciences

“$100k for climate resilience and sustainable agriculture in Ghana.

“Thank you @elonmusk & @DOGE! I am honored to work with you to put American Farmers First Again!”;

This coming a week after Rollins directed the US Department of Agriculture to make sure that illegal immigrants hardworking American taxpayers.
