UCL: Arteta picks team to win trophy after PSG eliminate Arsenal

Published on May 08, 2025 at 09:27 AM

Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, is backing Paris Saint-Germain to win this year’s Champions League.

PSG are through after seeing off the Gunners on a 3-1 aggregate.

The Ligue 1 champions won 1-0 at the Emirates and 2-1 at the Parc des Princes to seal their place in the final, where they will take on Inter Milan.

Inter eliminated Barcelona in the second semi-final on Tuesday night.

Arteta spent 18 months at PSG during his playing career and is hopeful the French club go on to win their first-ever Champions League trophy.

“I hope so because of my past here,”; Arteta told Canal Plus.

“I really hope they finally win it, I say that from the bottom of my heart.

“This isn’t the time to say, ‘Go Paris,’ but when they play in the final, I’ll push for them.”;
