MORE than a dozen major games are closing down servers this year meaning players will lose access to key features.
Favourites including , WWE and Madden NFL are on the hit list over the coming months.



studios routinely shut down servers for online play when user numbers have fallen.
And some will be affected within days.
The soonest to face the chop is action role-player Dauntless, which was initially released in 2019.
From May 29, the servers will be shut down for good on all platforms including Windows, , and .
The team said the decision was made “due to the negative public reception of TK and subsequent decline of active players”;.
It also means the previously announced season 2 will no longer go ahead.
Another title going offline this month is MultiVersus, which featured various Warner Bros characters from DC, and more.
The servers to play online will close on May 30.
But developers say there will be an option to playMultiVersusoffline via the local gameplay mode “either solo against AI opponents or with up to three friends”;.
To do this, you’ll need to install the latest version of the game and log in during Season 5 before the deadline.
More closures later this year
Over June there will be five game server closures, followed by another two in July, two in September, two in October and one in December.
