Read the agency’s full statement below:

Hello. This is BEAT INTERACTIVE.

We’d like to inform you about NEWBEAT member Taeyang Kim’s condition and upcoming schedule.

While practicing, Taeyang Kim experienced chest pain and was diagnosed with a mild rib injury.
His doctor advised him to avoid strenuous movement for the time being.

Although he cannot join performances involving intense choreography, he will attend all scheduled events, including today’s (May 21) opening stage at Chung-Ang University Festival, seated and without choreography, in accordance with his wishes.

Future engagements may be limited and will be determined based on medical recommendations and his recovery status.
Should there be any changes or if he is unable to participate in certain events, we will notify you in advance.

We kindly ask for your understanding and continued support during this time.

The health and safety of our artists remain our top priority, and we will provide Taeyang Kim with all the support necessary for a full and swift recovery.

Thank you.
