Monday upbeat Washington Spirit move will boost Super Falcons chance

Published on May 07, 2025 at 01:15 PM

Monday Gift reckons the move to NWFL club Washington Spirit will help improve her chances of playing regularly for the Super Falcons.

Gift joined Washington Spirit from Spanish Liga F club UD Tenerife last month.

The 23-year-old has made just 10 appearances for the Nigeria since making her debut in 2019.

She was omitted from the squad for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

The former FC Robo Queens striker insisted that joining Washington Spirit will impact her chances with the Super Falcons.

“This move will definitely impact my game with the Super Falcons. Playing in such a competitive environment helps you grow mentally and physically,”; she told Sports Boom.

Monday has scored two goals in three league appearances for Spirit.
