The House of Representatives has resolved to launch an investigation into the reported technical error that affected the outcome of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME.

The resolution was passed during Thursday’s plenary session, following the adoption of a motion of urgent public importance moved by Hon. Adewale Adebayo, a member representing a constituency in Osun State.

The lawmaker expressed concern over growing complaints from candidates and parents about irregularities in the released UTME results.

The Registrar of the Board, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede admitted to this during an ongoing press briefing in Abuja.

“What should have been a moment of joy has changed due to one or two errors,”;; Oloyede said.
