United States President, Donald Trump has given a hint on his preferred candidate in 2028.

At a NewsNation town hall on Wednesday, while marking his first 100 days in office, President Trump said he would love to see popular commentator, Stephen A. Smith run for president.

Trump, who addressed a series of questions regarding his administration in the first 100 days, said he loves watching Smith, stressing that the commentator has “got great entertainment skills, which is very important. People watch him”;.

Addressing speculations that Smith may mount a 2028 bid, Trump said “I’ve been pretty good at picking people and picking candidates, and I will tell you, I’d love to see him run”;.

DAILY POST reports that Smith had earlier hinted that he may consider running for president in 2028.

Although he repeatedly said he wouldn’t want to run for the presidency, he later declared that if he believed there was a chance he could win, he would have to consider it.
