Gombe: Governor Inuwa Yahaya appoints new advisers, senior aides

Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has approved the appointment of a Special Adviser, several Senior Special Assistants (SSAs), and Special Assistants (SAs) across key portfolios in a move aimed at enhancing governance and deepening grassroots engagement.

The appointments were announced in a statement released Thursday by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, and signed by the Director-General of Press Affairs at the Government House, Ismaila Uba Misilli.

According to Njodi, the decision aligns with the governor’s commitment to strengthening coordination, fostering public engagement, and integrating local stakeholders into the government’s development agenda.

Among the key appointments is Abubakar Abdullahi (popularly known as Habun DK), named Special Adviser on Agriculture and Farmer-Herder Coordination.

Alhaji Muhammad Saleh Jauro (Jauro Hammadu) has been appointed Senior Special Assistant II on Public Communications, while Mrs. Euphemia Chizoba Obio-Okeke and Hajiya Hannatu M. Ibrahim will serve as Senior Special Assistants II on Community Relations.

Abubakar Musa Bojude

Usman Baba Mohammed

Dahiru Mohammed Umar

Ibrahim Bapparu (Kala)

Umar Abdullahi Rambo

Adamu Mohammed (Maja)

Musa Aliyu

Bulus Yerima Bangunji

Additionally, new Special Assistants II on Women Mobilisation are:

Hajiya Amina Abubakar

Sadiya Alhassan Aminu Maiwake

Lami Adamu

According to Njodi, all appointments take effect from 22nd May 2025.

Governor Yahaya expressed confidence in the competence, loyalty, and dedication of the new appointees, stating their critical roles in delivering effective service to the people of Gombe State.
