Gateway Games 2025: Adesokan charges Ekiti Boxers to win gold at Sports Festival

The Chairman of the Ekiti State Boxing Association, Hon. Israel Adesokan, gave a stirring send-off to the state’s boxers as they departed for the National Sports Festival in Ogun State, urging them to make the state proud and bring home gold medals.

In a statement made available to newsmen in Ado-Ekiti by the Association’s Media Officer, Bernard Fagbemiro, Hon. Adesokan urged the boxers to remain focused and determined in their quest for medals, noting that they are not just fighting for personal glory but also for the pride of Ekiti State.

He expressed confidence in their abilities and charged them to represent the state with honor.

Coach Olusola Aderemi Austin, who led the team to the festival, also expressed optimism about their chances.

“I promise the Chairman and the good people of Ekiti State that our boxers will bring back gold medals from the National Sports Festival,”;; he said confidently. We have worked hard, and I have no doubt that our team will make Ekiti State proud.”;;
