I turned my ugly garden glam on a £500 budget – trolls say it’s ‘council estate paradise’ & a ‘breeding ground for rats’

A WOMAN has revealed that she and her partner gave their ugly garden a mega makeover whilst on a budget.

With just £500 to spend, Teri-Dewani and her man were on a mission to their without breaking the bank.

While some thought the space looked “beautiful”;, others described it as a “breeding ground for rats”;

Using from and , the couple were able to add to their once dull space.

Thrilled with their , Teri-Dewani took to to share a step-by-step guide of the process.

At the start of the clip, we saw Teri-Dewani’s prior to the .

With no or in sight, the outside space was in desperate need of some TLC.

Alongside the short video, Teri-Dewani penned: “How we made our ugly garden into paradise, under £500 budget.”;

Firstly, Teri-Dewani explained that she and her partner dug and levelled up the garden.

Following this, they then added a fabric control sheet, which they bought for just £9.99 from B&M.

To create their own decking, the couple used wooden pallets, which they got for from Marketplace.

They then added composite decking tiles from , which they bought for £9.99 a pack.

The couple also added borders, which they nabbed from for £6.99 each.

They used six borders and painted them to match.

The next step was to add stones and they used three bags which they bought for £7.99 each.

To further add style to the space, Teri-Dewani got her borders from Poundland, for just £1.99 for a pack of four.

She also added a large from Wilko and stunning

To really complete the garden and brighten up the space, Teri-Dewani decorated with hanging , a comfy seating set and a bright neon sign.

Big divide

We think Teri-Dewani’s garden looks fabulous and clearly many others do too, as the clip, which was posted under the username @teri_dewani2013, has quickly racked up 968,500 views.

Not only this, but it’s also amassed 14,500 likes, 349 comments and 6,924 saves.

But social media users were left divided by the garden project – while many thought it looked “great”;, others weren’t quite as complimentary.

Another added: “Loooove it!! Great job.”;

A third commented: “On a budget that is brilliant. Looks amazing!”;

However, at the same time, one mean user slammed: “This looks horrid.”;

A second chimed in and alongside a laughing emoji snapped: “estate paradise.”;

While someone else claimed: “That’s a breeding ground for .”;
