Carol Ibbertson took to social media to share the simple solution that keeps slugs away from gobbling your plants.
She shared her tip to the group, Gardening on a budget official, which boasts over 450,000 members.
Sharing a picture of the buy and her well-kept plant, she said: “The never ending Hosta vs Slugs (Quest).
“Having tried all other options & suggestions and failed, this stuff is working for me.
“Strong garlic smell plus the oily content stops the blighters getting up my pots.
“Been spraying the plants & around pot edges every other day for a week or so.”;
Carol swore by the Frylight 1 Cal Garlic Oil Cooking Spray to keep her plants protected from the pests.
