It has now been revealed that Ella and Dan have decided to distance themselves further and have even unfollowed each other on social media, in a bid to keep things civil among the cast.
A source said: “Dan was obviously not happy about the rumours of her trying to have a showmance and wanted to cut ties.
“While she was in the house, Dan had some time to think clearly and realised he needed to distance himself from Ella when she returned to Essex.
“Ella was hoping they could be friends after the split and thought he would still support her, but he didn’t.”;
The insider said Dan has been questioning their whole relationship and came to the conclusion that they needed to stay clear of each other for him to move on.
“He believes that her intentions for dating him weren’t right and feels she never really liked him,”; they continued.
“Ella lives a luxury lifestyle and wants someone who spoils her and Dan didn’t do that, so in the end it wasn’t going to work.
“The best thing for them to do is distance themselves from each other as it’s clear they can’t be friends.
