A DIY fan has revealed that rather than splashing out and getting a swimming pool built in her garden, she decided to make one herself

Rather than heading to , B&Q or for a swimming pool, using a trampoline, some tape and ratchet straps, a DIY enthusiast was able to make her very own swimming pool – yes, you heard that correctly.

Posting on , the woman who writes under the username @Flimsy_Economics1607, shared a snap of her – and it’s left many open-mouthed.

Writing on the r/redneckengineering forum, the woman explained that trolls have been negative about her , but she isn’t bothered by what people say, as she wrote: “Ima just leave this here for everyone hating on my pool.”;

She then added: “Putting the bar in this week. Some people just know how to have a good time.”;

The woman didn’t confirm what she used for the base of her pool, but did explain that she used the legs and poles of a trampoline frame for the structure of her pool.

She also used an “old trampoline mat”; as a canopy and attached to her creation.

The woman added some wooden steps leading up to the pool and even decorated the area with brightly-coloured rubber rings and hanging decorative murals.

While the pool might not be to everyone’s taste, we think it’s a great example of a DIY creation done with .
