A WOMAN has revealed that she saved £82 on makeup and beauty products from Boots, using a little known hack.
We all want to look our best, but constantly having to stock up on cosmetics can become pricey.
However, one woman has figured out a simple trick to make big savings on beauty buys.
Taking to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group, which has over 2.6 million members, she said: “It’s £10 Wednesdays this week.
“There’s some cracking bargains on there, I’ve saved £82.39.”;;
Attached to the post, was a screenshot of her receipt, from a recent Boots order.
The receipt revealed that she had purchased the No7 Restore & Renew Face and Neck Multi-Action Serum, which normally costs £32.95, for a 30ml bottle, for just £10, saving £22.95.
She also purchased the Neck Multi Action Night Cream, which is also usually priced at £22.95 for a 50ml bottle, for £10.
The receipt also showed that she purchased the Garnier Ultimate Blends Coconut and Macadamia shampoo, for £10, saving £11.99 on it’s original cost of £22.99.
The woman also purchased a fourth item for £10, which was not visible to see from the screenshot.
In total, the bill came to £122,39, before a discount of £82.39 was applied, meaning that the woman only spent £40 on the four items.
The discounts were applied thanks to Boots’ £10 Tuesday’s offer, which runs every week in store and online.
The offer takes place on Wednesdays instead on weeks where there has been a bank holiday Monday.
Each week, selected items, including products from big name brands such as Benefit, Clinique and No7, are reduced to just £10 each.
There’s no way to predict which items will be on offer each week, with some Tuesday’s featuring extra deals such as 10% off a minimum spend or 20% off fragrances.
