Leon Balogun has penned an emotional message to Rangers fans confirming his time with the Light Blues is about to come to an end.
Balogun’s contract with Rangers will expire at the end of June, and the club has made a decision not to offer him an extension.
The Nigerian joined Barry Ferguson’s side for a second stint two years ago.
The centre-back took to the social media to announce his departure.
“It’s that time again. No caption could summarise all that is going through my mind as I’m writing these lines. It’s been nothing short of an honour, a pleasure and a great, great privilege to represent this massive club â twice,”;; the message read.
The 36-year-old initially joined Rangers in 2020, making 65 appearances during his first spell at the club.
The defender won the Scottish Cup during that period.
