The sickening video shows Luke punched to the ground by Dylan Maxwell, 28, during the incident back in November 2023.
Luke’s family hope the release of the distressing video will serve as a stark warning about how quickly violence can turn deadly.
His heartbroken sister, Denise Louise Thompson, said the harrowing video was “not nice to watch” but was “important to put it out there”.

The father-of-two was then seen staggering around before the thug delivered another vicious blow with his victim clearly already in bad shape.
Luke fell backwards, hitting his head on the ground and was knocked unconscious before the footage ended.
Medical evidence confirmed he suffered a fracture to the base of his skull and a bleed on the brain, injuries from which he never recovered.
Luke suffered catastrophic head injuries and died in hospital 10 days later.
Luke’s sister Denise said: “We have given permission to show people out there that one punch can kill hoping it don’t happen to anyone else’s family.
“You don’t have to have a brawl for 5/10 mins, it could take a matter of seconds to kill someone.”
Luke was a father-of-two and was expecting a third child at the time of his death and his son was born on Day, just weeks after he died.
His killer, Maxwell, has been jailed for a total of 13 years and 10 months following his conviction for manslaughter and separate offences.

In a victim impact statement previously read to the court, his mother, Michelle, described the lasting impact of losing her youngest child.
Heartbroken Michelle said: “We live with the pain of losing him every day. It is a scar in our lives that will never leave.
“The impact of losing him is something that has affected the whole family differently. Some are suffering from mental .
“This is something that has been going on since losing Luke and I think it will continue long into the future.”
Following the sentencing, Detective Chief Inspector James Entwistle of West Yorkshire said: “My thoughts remain with Luke Thompson’s friends and loved ones.
“This is a tragic case that shows just how quickly a night out can turn into tragedy.
“Too often we see situations escalate through , frustration or split second decisions, with devastating consequences for everyone involved.
“At a busy time of year for nightlife, I would urge people to take a moment, walk away from confrontation and think about the lasting impact of their actions. No argument is worth a life.”
The family hope the release of the distressing footage will ensure Luke’s death is not forgotten and help prevent another family suffering the same heartbreak.
West Yorkshire Police said Maxwell and Luke did not know each other, and had both been out in Pontefract when the incident happened on Front Street in the early hours of November 19, 2023.
According to a taxi driver who gave evidence at the trial, Lukehad threatened to punch Maxwell after the pair exchanged words.
However, Judge Robin Mairs said: “Luke Thompson was no threat to you at any stage.
“You had struck and knocked him down and made whatever misguided or arrogant point you wanted to make.”
He said Thompson had fallen to the ground after he was punched before getting up and being punched to the floor again.
The judge said to Maxwell, who appeared in court via video link from HMP Leeds: “You could have left matters there, but you de
