HAMZAH SHEERAZ was crowned Britain’s newest world champion with a vicious demolition job of Alem Begic.

Sheeraz needed just two rounds to beat Begic into a brutal submission behind the stunning backdrop of the Egyptian Pyramids in Giza.

A sickening body shot crippled Begic to the canvas with Sheeraz winning the vacant WBO super-middleweight world title.

He said: “It was simple. I knew he’d be very negative from the first punch.

“I just had to walk him down and get him out of there. And that’s what we done.”

Sheeraz – who moved up to 168lb last year – Sheeraz came out in round one dominant on the lead left hand, turning the jab into a thudding hook.

But it was the one-two combination finishing with a right hand that had Begic looking shaky.

After just three opening minutes, the writing was on the wall with Sheeraz hammering head and body.

The poor 39-year-old German was punched all across the ring in round two – forced to gasp for air following a barrage of body shots.

A perfectly-placed left hook to the liver sent Begic crashing to the canvas and unable to catch his breathe – let alone the ten-count.
